Fig. 1 - S2 (13.10.2017) - 12 km from Athens, Piraeus is the chief port in Greece, as the 5th largest passenger port in Europe (4,37 million passengers in 2020).
With ~5.44 million containers, Piraeus is the busiest port in the Eastern Mediterranean and among the busiest ten in Europe for container traffic.
