The oldest part visible on the spill has likely been emitted 17 (conservative estimate, red) to 20h (lower confidence estimate, yellow) before.
To be made of 62 200 m high turbines, the first eolian park of France is being constructed by the Dutch ship Aeolus. The site was however affected by an oil spill declared at 6:30 am on Monday 14 and estimated by the authorities as 16 km long.
According to the tidal charts, it can be estimated at 15h old, it is coherent with the above estimate. Darker areas at south west are difficult to estimate reliably.
