Fig. 1 - S3 SLSTR (17.01.2022) - By mid-January, snow was limited to mountain range and parts of the Anatolian plateau.
Fig. 2 - S3 SLSTR (20.01.2022) - Three days later, it can be seen snow cover continued to progress slowly in Anatolia.
Fig. 3 - S3 SLSTR (24-27.01.2022) - It accelerated brutally when plains of large swaths of south-east Europe and almost all Turkey got snow capped on 24 January.
Fig. 4 - S2 (20.01.2022) - Athens, plains of Eubea & Attica regions were snow-free 4 days before 35cm fell on 24 January.
Fig. 5 - S2 (14.01.2022) - Completely white 10 days later, only relief was snow capped in north-west Turkey on this image.
