Fig. 1 - S3 SLSTR (12.01.2021) - The Atlas mountains stretch along the N-W coast of Africa from the Anti-Atlas to the Aures Mountains.
The Atlas range is the western end of the Alpide mountain belt formed by the African, Arabian & Indian plates colliding with the Eurasian plate.
Fig. 2 - Lying in the ENE-WSW High Atlas range, Mount Toubkal it is the highest peak in North Africa at 4167 m.
Fig. 3 - S3 OLCI (12.01.2021) - N-E of this view, the Middle Atlas is more NE-SW angled, it is topped by the 3356m high, Djebel Bou Naceur.
Fig. 4 - At north, the Rif reaches the coast. It is the Moroccan analog to the Baetic System in Spain in the Gibraltar Arc.
