Parts of the Santa Catarina state, near the southern tip of Brazil, saw between 300 and 400 mm of rain in a 72 hour period to 05 May 2022. At least 3 people have died and thousands have been displaced due to flooding and landslides. This processing highlights multiple swollen rivers and floodplains near Tubarão, Araçatuba and Criciúma.
