Fig. 1 - S3 SLSTR (17-19.07.2023) - Greece, along with Italy and Spain, has been gripped by a series of heat wave since mid-July.
Temperatures have reached and sometimes topped mid-forties in the northern part of the Mediterranean Sea, temperatures more usual on the southern shore of Mediterranean.

With the increasing frequency of these anticyclones, it is to fear nicknames related to the realm of Hades will soon run out.
