Fig. 1 - S2 (02.04.07.2017) - Mount Elbrus, highest peak in Europe at 5642 m, is a dormant stratovolcano lying within the Western Caucasus.
The crest of the Caucasus usually is used to define the continental divide between Asia & Europe for the region between the Black & Caspian Seas.
