Fig. 1 - S2 (18.03.2022) - St Michael's Mount is a tidal island in Mount's Bay, Cornwall, England, United Kingdom.

It was donated to the Benedictines of Mont Saint-Michel in the 11th century for the monks to build an abbey there. The priory later became a fortified castle.

The island is linked to the town of Marazion by a causeway of granite setts, passable between mid-tide and low water.
