Fig. 2 - S1 (29.06.2015) - It was conceived as a filler between SPOT-5 (end-of-life in March 2015) and Sentinel-3A (operational in April 2016).
With a swath of 517 / 2295 km at 100 / 300 m gsd, its sensor offers blue, red, NIR & SWIR bands but lacks SPOT Vegetation's heavy TIR sensor.
