Fig. 1 - S5P TROPOMI (04 & 06.08.2022) - SO2 total column - Trölladyngja (379 m) is a volcano on the Reykjaness Peninsula, SW Iceland.
A fissure eruption began at 13:18 on 3 August. The initial flow rate was 5-10 times greater than that at the start of the 2021 eruption, ~32 m3/s.
Fig. 2 - On 4 August 11:00, ~1.6 million m3 of lava had covered 0.14 km². The average flow thickness was ~11 m.
