Fig. 1 - S2 (03.09.2017) - 11,8,2 colour composite - Galán is a 6100m high volcano lying in the Altiplano-Puna volcanic complex.
Its caldera is one of the largest exposed calderas in the world, being 38 x 26 km (26 x 18 km on the inside) with a floor at 4500m.
